Gay Street Open-Air Market:
The Open-Air Market gives residents and visitors more space to shop, eat, and explore town! Four blocks of Gay Street are closed to vehicles each weekend so everyone can partake in al fresco dining and shopping. Restaurants and retail extend into the street, so you can enjoy the beautiful weather!
Longwood Gardens - Festival of Fountains:
Summer at Longwood makes a splash as the Gardens’ fountain collection jets to life. The Main Fountain Garden offers jaw-dropping performances daily and extended hours for Illuminated Fountain Performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Guests can also enjoy the Open Air Theatre fountains, which perform daily, as well as the picturesque Italian Water Garden, which offers a cool respite from the warm summer sun. Festival of Fountains also features the Gardens in their summer splendor. Guests can also embark on a walk in the expansive Meadow Garden, enjoy a shaded stroll among Longwood’s historic trees, and enjoy sitting under the stars with family and friends in our popular Beer Garden.

Join us on Thursday, May 15, from 5–8 PM on the Terrace at the Chester County History Center for our first-ever Beer Garden. This free community event invites you to enjoy the present while raising a glass to the past, right in the heart of historic downtown West Chester.

Northbrook Canoe - Canoe & Dine:
Join us for an evening canoe trip departing at 6pm for the Corcoran’s Bridge 1.5 hour canoe trip. When you arrive back at Northbrook, a catered dinner will be served in our picnic grove accompanied by live music and followed by a bonfire under the stars to finish off the evening.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (February 27, 2025) - Susan G. Komen’s signature MORE THAN PINK Walk is coming to the Navy Yard Marine Parade Grounds for the first time on Sunday, May 18, 2025. This family-friendly event kicks off with an Opening Ceremony, honoring the strength and resilience of survivors, patients, and those lost to metastatic breast cancer. The event starts at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.

The 7th Annual Brandywine Backyard BBQ Festival at New Garden Township Park on May 18th from noon to 5pm! This fun-filled afternoon features live music, delicious BBQ, juicy burgers, refreshing wine and beer, and a variety of food trucks offering tasty desserts and drinks — all in a relaxed, picnic-style atmosphere.
